Corporate Champions & Cultural Catalysts

Just days ago, the KPMG Global Tech Innovator competition announced its 2025 Philippine winner who will soon represent our islands at the global finals in Lisbon. While the competition doesn’t exclusively feature LGBTQ+ innovators, it highlights how Filipino tech entrepreneurs are creating solutions that transcend boundaries, much like our community has always done.

This follows February’s groundbreaking Philippine LGBTQ+ Gender Spectrum Forum and Leadership Symposium, which connected our rich cultural heritage of gender diversity, from the revered Babaylan to today’s modern expressions of queer identity, with corporate best practices. That half-day symposium was a masterclass in weaving traditional Filipino values with forward-thinking inclusion strategies that had everyone gagging!

Global Recognition & Representation

The queer Filipino diaspora is making waves too, darlings. Earlier this week, several Filipino LGBTQ+ advocates were spotlighted among the 2025 Young Global Changers, a prestigious recognition for individuals under 35 who are recoupling economic prosperity with sustainability and social needs.

Let’s not forget that just this Monday, the fabulous Celebration of Courage awards gala honored global LGBTIQ champions, including collaborators from the Philippines who’ve been instrumental in advancing human rights across borders.
