Metro Manila Set For Month-Long Pride Events And Piknik
Get ready, Manila! June has arrived and with it comes a rainbow wave of Pride celebrations lighting up the city all month long. From art-filled weekends to high-energy runs and the much-anticipated Pride March, the Filipino LGBT+ community is showing up, showing out, and inviting everyone to join in the fun, advocacy, and connection.
Art, comics, and creativity: Kicking off with Komiket Pride
True to form, Metro Manila is rolling out the welcome mat with a blend of culture and community, starting with Komiket Pride 2025. This two-weekend art fest, happening June 6-8 at Ayala Malls The 30th and June 13-15 at Market! Market!, is all about celebrating queer creativity in the local komiks and art scene. With three exhibition areas open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and free entrance, you get to meet artists, support local makers, and maybe find your next favorite zine or print. On your mark: QC Pride Run brings the energy
If you’re itching to move, the Quezon City Pride Run on June 7 is calling your name. Organized with the hard-working folks at the QC Local Government, this 5K run along Tomas Morato promises not just good cardio, but great community vibes. The P500 registration comes with a medal, running tee, LED wristband, and racer bib, pack those rainbow sneakers and make sure to register before slots run out!
Biggest bash of the month: LOV3LABAN 2025 Pride March
Mark your calendars for June 28! Pride PH’s return of LOV3LABAN promises to be the city’s biggest, boldest, and most empowering Pride March yet. The celebration centers at Quezon Memorial Circle, known for its massive turnouts and festival atmosphere. Last year, over 200,000 attendees filled the grounds, and 2025 is set to break records with a full day of Pride Expo, March, drag performances, DJs, and fireworks. Whether you’re waving your flag, sharing your story, or coming as an ally, the energy is truly electric.
Chill out with a Piknik and stay connected
In between the big events, Metro Manila’s LGBT+ groups are hosting pop-up “Pikniks”, casual park gatherings where friends, old and new, can grab a bite, snap photos, and just breathe in the June sunshine.
