Metro Manila Shines Bright Pride Month Festivities Begin

Pride Month Kickoff: Metro Manila Bursts With Colorful Events This June

Honey, grab your most fabulous rainbow attire because the most kaleidoscopic season of the year has officially descended upon us! Metro Manila is about to transform into a glittering playground of queer joy and resistance as Pride Month 2025 kicks into high gear.

*Whispers dramatically* And darlings, your favorite cultural connoisseur has ALL the tea on where you need to be seen this June!

Komiket Pride: Where Queer Art Takes Center Stage

First up on your Pride agenda should absolutely be Komiket Pride 2025, running this weekend June 6-8 at Ayala Malls The 30th. This energetic celebration of queer Filipino creativity promises to be a feast for the senses with three full exhibition areas packed with LGBTQIA+ artists and creators. The best part? Free admission, darling! Nothing comes between queer art lovers and their komiks.

What makes this year’s Komiket Pride particularly delicious is how it spans two weekends, with a second serving at Ayala Malls Market! Market! from June 13-15. Expect a treasure trove of zines that will make you laugh, cry, and feel absolutely seen, all crafted by our brilliant queer Filipino artists. *Chef’s kiss*

Lace Up for Equality at QC Pride Run

For my fitness-loving fashionistas who want to make a statement while working up a sweat, Quezon City’s first official Pride Run is happening on June 7. Starting at 6pm along the fabulous stretch of Tomas Morato, this 5K rainbow dash is the perfect way to show that our community doesn’t just slay, we sprint toward progress!

For just P500, you’ll score a running tee, LED wristband, racer bib, and a medal that screams “I ran for rights!” If that doesn’t sound like the perfect Pride Instagram moment, I don’t know what does.

Mark Your Calendars for THE Main Event

While we’re living for the moment with these early June festivities, do save your most spectacular lewks for later this month. The crescendo of Pride season, the Love Laban Pride March, is set to be more powerful than ever this year.

After last year’s rain-soaked spectacle that drew a staggering 228,000 attendees (yes, even with the concert cancelation!), this year’s LOV3LABAN 2025 promises to be the most defiant celebration of love and identity yet. Circle June 28th on your calendars, my loves!

*Leans in conspiratorially* Between you and me, Pride isn’t just about the parties, though we do those exceptionally well. It’s our collective moment to shine, to remember our history, and to demand the respect and rights our community deserves.

So polish those platforms, dust off your flags, and join me in making this Pride season the most fabulous protest Metro Manila has ever seen!
