Quezon City Prepares for Lov3laban 2025: A Celebration of Pride

Hello, friends! The lively energy of the rainbow is already alive in Quezon City as the community gears up for the Lov3laban 2025 Pride PH Festival. Scheduled for June 28, 2025, at UP Diliman, this year’s event is set to be safer, bolder, and even bigger, filled with endless queer joy, love, and resilience. Prepare to march, dance, and celebrate like never before!

Historic Partnership Brings Pride to Life

The Quezon City government, UP Diliman, and Pride PH Coalition have officially joined forces through a Memorandum of Agreement to co-host “Lovelaban sa Diliman.” Mayor Joy Belmonte is wholeheartedly committed, emphasizing QC’s fourth consecutive year of support for the LGBTQIA+ community through inclusive policies and enhanced security measures. UP Chancellor Atty. Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II opens the campus doors wide, welcoming all to the historic home of UP Babaylan, the oldest LGBTQIA+ organization in the Philippines.

A Day Full of Exciting Events

On June 28, the festivities will be in full swing: from the energetic Pride Expo to the grand Pride March, an electrifying Pride Night featuring DJs, dazzling drag performances, and fireworks. Don’t miss the Pride Villages throughout QC offering a mix of food, art, and good vibes. Pride PH National Convener Rodina Singh describes it as a “full-circle moment,” while new convener Sky Teotico exclaims, “More Queer Joy, Love, and Laban!” Organizers are working diligently to enhance safety with improved security, traffic management, mental health support, and a commitment to respecting all identities. The Beat Manila calls it the largest Pride event in Southeast Asia, don’t miss it, gather your friends!

Celebrations Throughout Pride Month

Leading up to the big day, don’t miss the Quezon City Pride Run on June 7, starting at Tomas Morato, a 5K run with a registration fee of P500 that includes a singlet and medal. Komiket Pride will take over Ayala Malls The 30th from June 6-8, offering free queer comics and zines. And let’s not forget the QC’s Love Laban legacy, which brought together 338,000 attendees from 2023 to 2024. Stay updated by following Pride PH announcements for more details.

The Importance of Lov3laban Now

In the face of global challenges to our movement and the stalled #SOGIEEqualityBill, Lov3laban stands as a powerful statement of resistance. National Conveners Vince Liban and Angel Romero urge the community to raise their voices louder than ever. Quezon City is ready with emergency units on standby. Allies, bakla, trans, and queer individuals, let’s come together proudly and make our presence known. Share your experiences at Bayothub and help turn the streets into a sea of rainbow love. With safer spaces, bolder hearts, and bigger victories on the horizon, let’s celebrate with courage and unity!
