QC Expo Shines Spotlight on Queer-Owned Businesses
Quezon City just got a whole lot more fabulous, and a whole lot more entrepreneurial! On June 25, 2025, the local LGBT+ community gathered for a active celebration of pride and progress as queer-owned businesses took center stage at the much-anticipated Queer Dela Musique and Sculpt’s Pride event. The expo transformed Trinoma’s Activity Center into a glittering showcase of diversity, talent, and resilience, all while uplifting our beloved community’s economic power. This event wasn’t just a marketplace, it was a joyful sign to queer creativity and solidarity, with every booth radiating the spirit of Pride and Pinoy ingenuity. Check out event snapshots and behind-the-scenes energy here.
More Than Just Businesses, A Movement
The QC Expo brought together more than 40 businesses owned by LGBTQ+ Filipinos and allies, ranging from food stalls and fashion brands to tech services and handcrafted goods. As you strolled through the aisles, it was impossible not to feel inspired by the passion, artistry, and innovation on display. Mayor Joy Belmonte, one of the event’s proudest supporters, reminded everyone that these entrepreneurs aren’t just navigating business, they’re helping to drive economic growth for everyone. This expo was a demonstration that inclusion is good for business and for the soul.
Why Spotlights Like This Matter
Visibility is powerful. Events like this not only open up new markets for queer entrepreneurs but also create safe, supportive spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals to thrive as their most authentic selves. Every purchase at the expo was a direct boost to the livelihoods of queer business owners, making it a win-win for the entire city. As one attendee shared, “So cute seeing all queer-owned businesses in one event. Shout out to everyone who came through for the community!” See more community reactions here.
